The work associated with Phase B of our capital project continues to progress.
In an effort to eliminate and/or minimize disruptions during the school day, the vast majority of work is taking place after school hours, except the construction of the new Chiz Frye Field Press Box and the renovations at the Transportation Garage.
The new press box is moving along nicely, and the steel components will soon be erected. The interior work at the Transportation Garage is nearing completion. The new bus wash is also nearing completion, and the new bus lifts are already in use.
Below is a building-by-building summary of additional work currently taking place:
Deerfield Elementary School – bathroom renovations, ceiling replacements, electrical work
Hart’s Hill Elementary School – bathroom renovations, ceiling work scheduled to begin
Marcy Elementary School – bathroom renovations
Westmoreland Road Elementary School – bathroom renovations, ceiling replacements, electrical work
Middle School – bathroom renovations
High School – bathroom renovations, ceiling replacements, electrical work, HVAC work, student locker replacement
District-wide – technology upgrades
All in-progress bathroom renovations are scheduled to be completed by early March. Once completed, additional bathroom renovations will start.
The long-term results of our capital project will enhance the learning atmosphere for our students, improve building safety and address various infrastructure-related needs.
We ask for your continued patience and support.
