We are excited to announce that we will be transitioning email platforms from Microsoft Exchange to Google Gmail this summer. All existing email, attachments, folders, and calendars will automatically be moved to Gmail. To minimize disruption to staff, our target date for this transition is Thursday, July 14 2022.

What if I already have a personal Gmail or Google account?
Posted by:Your Whitesboro Google account and your personal Google account are completely separate. You should not use your personal account for District use.

Will I still have access to District-created Distribution Lists?
Posted by:Yes, District distribution lists will be recreated in Gmail.

May I still use or access Outlook?
Posted by:Outlook Web Access will be unavailable beginning July 14, 2022. The Outlook client (on District PCs) will be available for reference use only until it is uninstalled from your computer (requires that the computer be in-District); Outlook will not have the ability to send or receive mail after July 14, 2022.

Posted by:No, all existing email, attachments, folders (known as labels in Gmail), and calendars will be migrated to Gmail automatically.

What is Gmail?
Posted by:Gmail is a web-based email and calendaring service provided by Google. Students currently use a District-managed version of Gmail. As of June 2022, staff currently use Microsoft Exchange (Outlook) as their District email platform but will be transitioning to Gmail on July 14, 2022.
