• On June 24, students and staff at Westmoreland Road Elementary School enjoyed the annual Fun Day.

The Westmoreland Road PTO sponsored several stations, including the foam fest, water balloons and an obstacle course! The PTO also treated each student to a frozen treat from the ice cream truck on a previous day since students were being dismissed early on Fun Day.

The morning started with a brief assembly in the gymnasium. Students were seated by grade level wearing colors assigned by grade level. Coach Lenard and Coach Temple provided an overview of the day and set expectations for behavior. Student volunteers from the middle school and high school, including members of the National Honor Society, helped supervise various stations and games, including kickball, Drag’N Tails, parachute, tug-of-war and more.

A huge shout out to Coach Lenard for her detailed planning and scheduling of events, and a special thank you to the Westmoreland Road PTO, faculty and staff for making this a safe and memorable Fun Day focused on our students!
