• On June 26, Westmoreland Road Elementary School faculty and staff joined together to cheer on the fifth graders as they exited the building and boarded the buses for their last ride home prior to summer vacation. After the fifth grade classrooms exited the building, fourth grade through kindergarten students were escorted to the buses one final time as faculty and staff were on hand to wave goodbye and wish all students a safe and happy summer!

After buses were loaded, bus drivers made a few extra laps around the bus loop so West. Rd. staff and children could spend a few extra minutes waving and enjoy the excitement and various emotions before leaving for summer break. It was surely bittersweet as we said farewell and best wishes to our fifth graders heading to Parkway in September and wished good luck to faculty members Mrs. Collver, Mr. Lewis and Mrs. Famolaro, who are all heading off to different settings and adventures in the fall. Enjoy the next chapter!

To all staff and students returning in September, find time to splash into a good book and enjoy your much deserved family time! Thank you for a wonderful spring. It has been a true pleasure getting to know the entire West. Rd. community over the past three months. The children at West. Rd. make it all worthwhile! If you have any questions, I can be reached via email at kmiller@wboro.org or you may leave a voicemail for Heather Scienza, West. Rd. building secretary, at 315-266-2440 and she will return your call when she is in the office.

    Respectfully,

    Ms. Karen Miller
