Answers
1) QWhat does my child need in order to go outside in the winter?
AWhen there is snow on the ground, they need 5 things to go outside. Hat, gloves/mittens, snowpants, winter coat and heavy boots.
2) QWhy do some papers come home only partically colored?
AMost of the time, my objective is not to color the paper fully. The main part of the lesson was the reading, matching, writing, etc.. The children are asked to color on their papers until the whole class is ready to move on the the next activity.
3) QWhat do I do when it is my child's birthday?
AIf it falls on a week day, you can plan to send in a special snack for that day. If it is on a weekend, please contact me to let me know what day is best for you. Snacks need to be dropped off at school by 10:00 a.m. You can send in a cookie, cupcake, or other special snack. If you would like to send a drink either send juice boxes or juice and cups.
4) QWhat if my child is sick?
APlease leave me a voice message or e-mail so that I will know where they are. If they are out for a few days and you would like their work, contact me and I will leave it at the office. When your child returns, it is state law that they bring an excuse for their absence.
