Degrees and Certifications:

Mrs. Williams

Upon graduating from Utica City Schools, I pursued a Bachelor’s degree in Music Education at Nazareth College and later received a Master’s degree in Music Education from Boston University. I have had the privilege of teaching in the Hamilton Central School District, and the Holland Patent School District.

Currently, as the high school band director in Whitesboro, my responsibilities include conducting the Concert and Symphonic bands, the high school jazz ensemble, fall pep band and pit orchestra. When not teaching during the school day, I enjoy teaching private drum lessons and playing with the all-female jazz performing group “Broken Chord.” Along with “Broken Chord,” I perform with a local saxophone quintet.

Throughout my musical career I have been given many opportunities to perform with some incredible musicians and I am incredibly thankful for these opportunities. It has always been my goal as a musician and as a teacher to share my knowledge and experiences with my students and to give them all of the musical opportunities, and more, that I was so fortunate to have myself.
