    As per New York State and Federal regulations, the purpose of the Resource Room is to supplement the regular education classroom instruction.  This is done by implementing reading, written expression, math, listening comprehension, and/or attention goals as indicated on each student's IEP (Individualized Education Program).  This is accomplished by:
     
         *Assisting students in developing skills and strategies to improve their deficit area(s).
     
         *Helping students improve their test-taking skills.
     
         *Implementing appropriate test accommodations and classroom modifications.
     
         *Frequently collaborating with students' teachers and other related service providers.
             
         *Communicating with parents/guardians.
     
         *Helping students realize their strengths and weaknesses, build their confidence, and enjoy school. 
     
    Progress notes will be sent home quarterly.
