ClassLink

Getting Started for Students & Parents

What is ClassLink?

ClassLink is a single sign-on portal for access to approved sites and services (resources). It
makes signing into resources easier by managing passwords for you, eliminating the need to
manage multiple logins. For certain resources, it can also automatically create class rosters for
teachers.

Signing In

ClassLink uses your Active Directory (computer) username and password for signing in.

ClassLink is accessed via a custom web address:
https://launchpad.classlink.com/wboro

District-issued Chromebooks will be configured to launch the ClassLink after signing in to the
Chromebook. It will also be available in the Whitesboro CSD folder in the bookmarks bar.

This link is accessible in multiple locations including a desktop shortcut on Windows PCs and in the icons section of the main district website and on each building sub-site for easy access.

Launch Pad

The LaunchPad is the first screen you see in ClassLink after signing in. Launchpad contains
icons to launch approved resources. Clicking on an icon will launch the resource in a new tab.

Note: For any app that is available via ClassLink, existing website links, desktop shortcuts, etc. will be removed. If you have saved these links in your browser’s bookmarks or documented them in any other way, deleting them is recommended.

Apps

The apps in the LaunchPad may be automatically pushed out, or you may add resources that
have been approved from the app library. Resources that have been pushed out will display a
small lock icon when you mouse over them. Apps will also display a key icon in the corner if
ClassLink will sign in to the app for you.

IXL App

To add an app from the approved app library, complete the following steps:
  1. Click the Open App Library icon (the plus sign) at the top of the screen.

  2. In the app drawer that pulls out, you will see the library of apps. Locate the app you’d like to add and click the Add button below it.

  3. The Add button will become a Remove button. Click the X in the upper right corner to close the app drawer.

  4. The App you added will now be in your LaunchPad.

Note: The Information and Instructional Technology Department will be working to continue implementing additional approved resources in ClassLink in the future. Once a resource has been added to ClassLink, it should be accessed through the ClassLink LaunchPad (as opposed to accessing the site directly).
