Social work services consist of school-based counseling for students whom may be struggling because of behavioral or emotional issues, that significantly impact their daily learning.

Counseling services and interventional strategies can help students refocus back to their learning, in order to achieve academic success.

There are different ways to obtain counseling services. One way is through the Committee on Special Education, where students have an IEP and counseling is a service that is provided based on their individualized educational plan.

If your child does not have an IEP, a request for counseling services can be made by a parent/guardian, teacher, or principal. Parental consent is required for counseling services.

Counseling can be provided individually and/or within a group.

Parental consultations, information for referrals, and connection with outside resources can also be provided.
