Welcome to Mrs. Ryan's Classroom!
My name is Mrs. Ryan and this is my 20th year teaching at Westmoreland Road Elementary School. Currently, I teach Math to all 5th graders! I absolutely love being a teacher and I look forward to all of the great times we will share this year.
In my spare time, I enjoy spending time with my husband, our two children, and our dog. We love to be outdoors and hike, run, swim, and play! I also love to read, play volleyball, and cook. Three fun facts about me are that my husband and I also went to Westmoreland Road (actually we were in the same 4th grade class), my favorite food is macaroni and cheese, and my family cheers for the Philadelphia Eagles!
I like to approach my classroom with an atmosphere of family. My expectations are simple: be prepared everyday with all work completed, pay attention in class and always try your best, and treat others with kindness. Our class motto is, "Work Hard, Be Kind."
Fifth graders will be working with two other teachers this year when they switch classes; Mr. Steere for ELA and Mr. Wright for Social Studies & Science. They are both wonderful teachers and I know it's going to be an awesome year!
I want my students to come to me with any questions and concerns they may have. I have an open door policy and ask that parents contact me any time with questions or concerns they might have too! I strongly believe in a close relationship between home and school. Looking forward to a wonderful year!
