On May 15, Whitesboro seniors who received the New York State Seal of Biliteracy (NYSSB) celebrated their accomplishments after school in the pit with cake, cookies and refreshments. Administration, teachers and staff joined the students to recognize their achievements. This is the first year that Whitesboro has offered the New York State Seal of Biliteracy. A total of 21 students received this honor, with a total of 23 seals earned!

The breakdown of awards is as follows:
Nine students earned the seal in English and ASL
Eight students earned the seal in English and Spanish
One student earned the seal in English and French
One student earned the seal in English and Burmese
Two students earned the seal in multiple languages: English, Spanish and Russian

We would like to thank all of the administration, faculty and staff who have helped make this endeavor a success!

Congratulations to our 21 students who have gone above and beyond to earn the NYSSB!
