On May 4, the first International Foods Fair took place in the Pit at the High School. Ms. Synakowski's Regional and International Foods classes prepared dishes and drinks from 14 different countries. Students hosted tables for guests to sample their dishes and learn more about each country. In addition, Ms. Synakowski's Food Entrepreneurship classes learned how to build an event from the ground up. Each student in those classes took on a different job, brainstorming ideas for the event, then putting them into action and creating the International Foods Fair. Food and Nutrition classes were also given the opportunity to help cook food on the day of the event.

Mrs. Finn's Sports and Entertainment Marketing classes learned hands-on marketing experience by taking part in marketing the event, learning about logo design and event layouts. Her Business and Personal Law classes also played a part in logo design, ticket design, event layout and learned how the law relates to event management.

Guests at the event were able to sample foods from countries like India, Greece, Egypt, Poland, Brazil, Korea and many others. Students also provided games and raffles that the guests could engage with. For future International Foods Day events, guests can expect to see different countries and dishes as this is a student-led event.

Hope to see you next year!
