Miss Sutliff, Miss Berry, and Mrs. Emerson’s fourth grade students at Marcy Elementary School spent the beginning of the school year learning about the geography of New York State and also creating a travel brochure about the state!

As a culminating activity, they created “salt dough maps” and labeled the important areas of our state. The gooey, hands-on project makes a real connection to where the students live and learn.

Everyone loved getting messy while learning more about their state!
