1/25/2024 - Canvas & Cookies Event at Marcy Elementary

On January 25, the Marcy Elementary Parent-Teacher Organization (PTO) organized a special event called Canvas and Cookies to tie into the PARP theme, "Reading Colors Our World."

About 100 students from grades K-5 stayed after school to participate in this event. Students in grades kindergarten and one had the opportunity to paint a snowman, while students in grades two and three painted a fox. Lastly, students in grades four and five painted a beautiful snowy scene. Our young artists enjoyed delicious cookies while they worked on their masterpieces. The event was a great success, and it provided a wonderful opportunity for our students to unleash their creativity. It also served as a fantastic way to tie into this year's PARP theme. It was truly a joy to see our students express themselves and explore their creativity!
