4/12/2024 - Second Annual International Foods Fair
On April 12, the Food Entrepreneurship class at Whitesboro High School hosted the second annual International Foods Fair at the high school.
Participants were treated to dishes such as Polish kielbasa casserole, chicken plov, Dominican Republic empanadas, chicken marsala and Aotearoa scallops to order. Desserts included Moroccan sesame cookies, Norwegian blotkake, Peruvian chocolates and Jamaican bulla cakes.
The Regional and International classes each took on the task of learning more about a different country in the world, then chose a dish that they felt represented their country, prepared it and served it at the fair. Guests were treated to a cultural feast from around the world with 23 nations being represented.
The Sports and Entertainment Marketing classes, along with Business and Personal Law classes, helped with logo and ticket design, marketing the event and other vital elements to ensure that the event was a success.
Students already cannot wait for next year's event. A job well done by all!
