Five Whitesboro Master Teachers participated and helped organize a Girls in STEM Day at Utica University on April 13.

Jaclyn Countryman (Marcy Elementary), Megan Dote (Middle School), Jessica Hamilton (Parkway), Carla Ryan (Parkway) and Abbie Sutliff (Marcy Elementary), in conjunction with Utica University professors and students, helped design and run six unique, hands-on STEM lessons that were aimed at engaging and inspiring young women in the CNY area.

This free event hosted local female students in grades 6-8 for a day-long learning experience that left them with a vision of how women have made, and continue to make, incredible contributions to the STEM world.
