On September 28, Whitesboro High School music students gathered in the auditorium for a student assembly featuring two members of Industrial Rhythm including the creator, Zoilo. Industrial Rhythm is a troupe that makes music using everyday objects such as large orange construction cones, five gallon plastic buckets, computer keyboards, tic tac boxes, trash cans, brooms, briefcases and various percussion drums. In addition to their standard numbers, Industrial Rhythm also performs several interactive numbers.

During the assembly, members of the troupe demonstrated various rhythms on percussion instruments, engaged with students and teachers by having them join the group on stage and holding a question and answer session. Students were encouraged to ask questions of the group and a few even received autographs.

In addition to the student assembly, the troupe was hosted by the Whitesboro Music Department during the evening of September 27 for a public performance. Percussion ensemble members from Whitesboro, Sauquoit Valley and Westmoreland also performed an opening number before turning the show over to Industrial Rhythm.
