Sandy Tucci, a retired third grade teacher, recently led sixth grade Parkway students in making comfort pillows. This year, Ms. Tucci continued her tradition to spread the love at Glen Cove Hospital on Long Island, where her daughter, Emily Bashford, is the Senior Director of Patient & Customer Experience.

Ms. Tucci began making comfort pillows with her third grade students in 2005, following the passing of her father at the Siegenthaler Center. Ms. Tucci's daughter asked her to make the pillows for the patients at Glen Cove Hospital. The Parkway students enjoyed making the pillows and each signed a note saying "Made with Love.” Mrs. Bashford distributed the pillows on Valentine's Day, making her patients very happy.
