Regional and International Classes Celebrate Food
The Whitesboro High School Regional and International classes spent a week preparing dishes based on their palettes and tastes in foods. Each student in the two classes made their own recipe and then prepared it for the class to eat. The food ranged from breakfast-style dishes, to dinner dishes, to desserts. They had two class periods to prepare their dishes, which they served on the third day to the class and teachers.
All of the food was delicious and really showed off not only students’ food preferences and what they enjoy eating, but also their culinary skills as they prepared the dishes solo without their kitchen groups. All of the teachers and students who tasted their dishes were quite impressed.
The foods prepared included flatbread pizza, smash burgers, baklava cheesecake, twist cupcakes, chicken alfredo pasta, peanut butter pie and churro donuts.
