Dignity Act for All Students (DASA)
A child should never feel that it is not safe to go to school and participate in all school activities. A child should also never be prevented from concentrating on his/her school work because another student or a school staff member is teasing, making fun of, pushing around or threatening him/her in some way because of his/her race, color, weight, national origin (where your family comes from), ethnic group, religion, religious practices, disability, sexual orientation, gender or sex, or for any other reason.
A student/staff member may not act toward another student/staff member in a way that reasonably might make him/her feel threatened or unsafe, or that might reasonably make him/her unable to concentrate on their school work because of their race, color, weight, national origin, ethnic group, religion, religious practices, disability, sexual orientation, gender or sex, or for any other reason. It is against school rules for any student or school staff member to do this by physical actions or by verbal statements, including electronic messages. This kind of conduct is prohibited on school property, including on school buses and at all school-sponsored events.
To electronically report an incident(s) of bullying and/or harassment to school district administration, please fill out and submit this form. All responses are confidential. Also, please feel free to contact the appropriate Dignity Act Coordinator directly.
