Use of Surveillance Cameras

The Whitesboro Central School District promotes student, staff and visitor safety in all District facilities, grounds or buses. In order that we may ensure a safe and effective learning environment, the Board promotes the use of surveillance cameras when necessary in all District facilities, grounds or buses. Surveillance cameras will be used in public areas and other non-public areas; except areas, such as restrooms, where there is reasonable expectation of privacy. Audio recordings may be made in conjunction with the use of the cameras.
