High School Hosts Swearing In Ceremony

Whitesboro High School was recently chosen as the site for several elected local officials to take the oath of office. Many distinguished guests, members of the media and local officials were present at the ceremony on January 9, hosted by High School Principal Mr. Cognetti.
Assemblywoman Buttenschon, (a Whitesboro High School alumna and resident of Marcy), Assemblyman Miller and Senator Griffo were sworn in by Judge Brindisi. Reverend Dr. Mary Webster was also in attendance to provide an invocation.
Students in APUSH, dual credit government and SUPA government classes were invited to attend. The event also featured members of the high school chamber choir, who performed “The Star-Spangled Banner.”
