Volleyball Team Hosts "Spike Out Cancer" Game
On January 20, the Whitesboro volleyball team hosted a "Spike Out Cancer" game against Sauquoit Valley, drawing over 200 attendees. Both the JV and varsity teams won 3-0, but the real focus of the night was fundraising. The event raised over $2,600 to support two community members battling cancer: Amy Pine (Fortnam), a Whitesboro alum and Nicole Siriano, a parent of a volleyball player. The funds were raised through raffles, including over 20 gift baskets, a bike raffle and a serving competition. It was a successful and meaningful event for everyone involved.
