Whitesboro Cross Country Teams Host Invitational
On October 5, the Whitesboro cross country teams held an invitational at the Deerfield Wilderness Park. A total of 30 teams from the surrounding area attended to compete in modified and varsity-level cross country races.
Senior Seth Stevens broke Whitesboro’s school record for boys varsity cross country with a time of 16 minutes and 51.5 seconds, finishing second overall for that race. Whitesboro placed third in the boys varsity race, with Oneonta taking the lead, followed by Remsen in second place. Sophomore Lana Moore finished third overall in the girls varsity race with a time of 21 minutes and 31.2 seconds. Whitesboro took the lead in the girls varsity race, followed by Beaver River in second and New Hartford in third place.
Whitesboro placed third in the girls modified race, with Liverpool taking the lead, followed by New Hartford in second. The top three teams in the boys modified race were Liverpool, Clinton and Jamesville Dewitt.
