Marcy Elementary First Graders Host “Family Celebration Night”
There’s nothing quite like spending time with family during the holiday season.
On December 19, Marcy Elementary School’s first grade class hosted its annual “Family Celebration Night.” The special event is the culminating activity to a Social Studies unit based on families.
For the event, the first grade students invited their family members into their classrooms and treated them to a holiday themed vocal performance, which was followed by a dessert reception. The first graders also showcased their family themed projects.
“This event gave our students and families the opportunity to get to know each other, recognize how all families are unique and share in the love they have for their families,” said Mrs. Bellair, first grade teacher at Marcy Elementary. “The Marcy first grade families enjoyed celebrating and sharing this special time together.”
Mrs. Bellair’s, Mrs. Cough’s and Mrs. Locke’s classes all participated.
Marcy Elementary School would like to wish all of its families a happy, healthy and safe holiday season!
