Blue and White Week to be Celebrated October 16 – October 21
During the week of October 16, school spirit - - and color - - will proudly be on display all over Whitesboro High School (and the entire district). The high school is celebrating its “Blue and White Week.”
The annual tradition is spearheaded and organized by the Whitesboro High School Student Council. Like in the past, this year’s Blue and White Week will have a unique theme each day. Here’s the breakdown:
Monday, Oct. 16 – Comfy Cozy Day
Tuesday, Oct. 17 – Duo Day
Wednesday, Oct. 18 – Hawaiian Day
Thursday, Oct. 19 – Patriot Day*
*The hallway decorating contest will take place after school. Each class will decorate a different area in preparation for Friday.
Friday, Oct. 20 – Whitesboro Super Fan Day
Each day, students are encouraged to dress up according to the theme.
Also on Friday, the Fall Pep Rally and Blue and White Homecoming Parade will take place. The pep rally is scheduled to kick off at 1:42 p.m. inside the high school gym and run until dismissal at 2:09 p.m. The parade is scheduled to start at 6:00 p.m. Line-up will begin in front of St. Paul’s Church on Main Street in Whitesboro at 5:45 p.m. The parade will include local fire departments and a section dedicated to each elementary school in the district and the middle school. If you are interested in participating in the parade, you must contact High School Student Council Advisor Kevin Powers at firstname.lastname@example.org by Wednesday, October 18.
The homecoming parade, as it always does, will conclude at Chiz Frye Field by the middle school. The Varsity Football team will then take on Indian River. The senior night game for the Warriors is scheduled to start at 7:00 p.m.
Blue and White Week will wrap up on Saturday, October 21 with the annual Powder Puff Flag Football Game at Chiz Frye Field. The game is scheduled to start at 7:00 p.m. and will feature two teams - - girls from the junior class and girls from the senior class. The game is free to attend, but all donations will benefit St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
We hope that you will take the time to be a part of and support Blue and White Week!
