Intro to Nanotechnology Students Present Microscope at Education Showcase

students pose for photo Students from this year’s Introduction to Nanotechnology class at Whitesboro High School, along with some students from last year’s class, showcased their Scanning Electron Microscope (SEM) at the Oneida-Madison-Herkimer School Boards Institute’s Education Showcase, which was held at Oneida-Herkimer-Madison BOCES on March 28.

Students in the class spent a week taking images using the SEM after school. They took pictures of everything from pollen samples to insects to various minerals. Then they selected their favorite images and printed them to display at the showcase, and they also assembled a running slideshow that was put on display as well.

The students displayed their hard work at the Education Showcase and also answered questions from the board members, administrators and teachers from around the area.

Thank you to all who participated in the Education Showcase!
