Bridge Builders Club Shows Appreciation on School Lunch Hero Day
For the 7th annual School Lunch Hero Day on Friday, May 3, the Bridge Builders Club at Whitesboro High School did their part to show their thanks and appreciation to their school cafeteria staff.
School Lunch Hero Day is an opportunity to showcase the difference that nutrition professionals make for every child who goes through the cafeteria, and to let them know their efforts don’t go unnoticed. The day of celebration was created by author and illustrator Jarrett Krosoczka, who created the Lunch Lady children’s book series.
On May 3, students in the Bridge Builders Club showed their appreciation by taking time out of their busy class schedules to deliver flowers and treats to the High School cafeteria staff. It was a simple way to say thank you for everything that they do during the school year.
A big thank you goes out to all of the hardworking school cafeteria staff throughout the Whitesboro Central School District!
