Whitesboro CSD Welcomes New Teachers with Two-Day Orientation

The Whitesboro Central School District held a two-day orientation for new teachers on August 21-22 at the District Administration Building.

At the orientation, which was led by Kelly Smith, a kindergarten teacher at Marcy Elementary School, and Dawn Zielenski, a second grade teacher at Marcy Elementary School, the new teachers were introduced to district administrators, district policies and procedures, and basic expectations. Specific topics included: district technology, teacher evaluation procedures, special education, safety/fire inspection information, union membership and Whitesboro Teacher Center offerings. The new teachers also had the opportunity to work with other teachers in their subject areas.

The Whitesboro Central School District welcomes all of its new instructional and school-related staff members and wishes everyone a great 2019-2020 school year!
