Four Seniors Recognized During Boys Bowling Senior Night

The Whitesboro Boys Varsity Bowling team celebrated senior night on Jan. 24 at Vista Lanes against VVS. Unfortunately, the Red Devils defeated the Warriors 8-3. Chris Testa and Trent Beattie led the team with series of 636 and 622, respectively.

The senior players included: Captain Trent Beattie (parents Kyle and Cindy), Captain TJ Davis (parents Tom and Cathy), Dominick Scholefield (father JP), and Nick White (parents Steve and Katie). The boys were introduced with their parents prior to the match and received carnations and a gift courtesy of the Whitesboro Bowling Boosters.

The team finished the regular season 12-2, which was tied for first place in the TVL. The team will be competing at the TVL Championships on Feb. 4 and the Section III Team Championships on Feb. 9, both of which will be held at Pin-O-Rama in Utica. Trent Beattie, TJ Davis, and Tom Kloster are also in contention to qualify for the State Shootout at King Pin Lanes in Rome on Feb. 13, where they could compete to earn a spot on the State Composite team.

Congratulations to Trent, TJ, Dominick and Nick! Good luck beyond high school and may bowling be in your future.
