Contact Tracing Communications

Contract tracing is an essential component of our community’s COVID-19 response plan.  When there is a need for contact tracing, the District assists the Oneida County Department of Health by providing contact information and contacting families of students impacted prior to them being contacted by the Health Department.  The District also provides extensive contact tracing documentation if a potential exposure has occurred on school property, including buses.

As part of our contact tracing plan, we will either be using our mass notification system (SchoolMessenger) or personal phone calls depending upon the volume of notifications that must be made.  The message you receive will contain important information regarding your child(ren) and any potential exposure.  Only those families directly impacted will be notified.

Please be sure to check your preferences in School Messenger to ensure you receive these and other important messages.  For information about managing your SchoolMessenger notification preferences please visit  Thank you for your attention to this matter, and for your continued support and cooperation with our reopening of schools.
