Several Whitesboro CSD Schools Recognized as ‘Best of the Best’ by Observer-Dispatch
In the Observer Dispatch’s annual Best of the Best Awards, three Whitesboro Central School District schools were recognized among the top local schools in the region, with two receiving the highest recognition.
Each year, the Observer-Dispatch hosts a Best of the Best contest where the local community has the opportunity to nominate and then vote for the best schools, businesses, restaurants and more throughout the Mohawk Valley. This year’s contest included 154 different categories.
In the Best Local Elementary School category, Deerfield Elementary School was named the winner. After nominations were sent in and counted, Hart’s Hill Elementary School and Marcy Elementary School were also among the five finalists being voted on that category.
In the Best Local High School category, Whitesboro High School was named the winner.
“We are proud of our partnership with the Whitesboro school community during these difficult times,” said Whitesboro High School Principal Mr. Kuhn. “Support for our students has been tremendous and our staff aspires to continuously improve all aspects of student life at Whitesboro High School.”
In the Best Local Middle School category, Whitesboro Middle School took third place. Parkway was also among the five finalists being voted on in that category.
This year more than ever, with virtual learning, a new hybrid model of teaching, and ever-changing protocols, the Whitesboro Central School District staff, students and administration all have a great deal to be proud of.
Congratulations to the winning schools, and the Whitesboro Central School District as a whole!
