Resuming Hybrid Learning

We are resuming our hybrid learning model tomorrow, January 25.

As previously stated, one of the critical components of our return to the hybrid learning model is the testing of students and staff.  I am pleased to inform you that we tested 312 students and 160 staff members.  Of the 472 individuals tested, a total of 4 tested positive yielding a positivity rate of 0.8%, well below the regional rate.  Of the total positive results, one was a student and 3 were staff.  Results by building are available on our District’s COVID dashboard.  We will continue testing students and staff after our return until we reach the 20% requirement of NYS.

Please note the following cohort and day information for Monday, January 25:

High School - Cohort B, Day 1
Middle School & Parkway - Cohort B, Day 1
Elementary Schools - Cohort A, Day 2

The bus schedule is the same as it was prior to our transition to fully-remote learning.

While this is exceptionally positive news, it is still imperative that we adhere to the protocols and procedures in place including the completion of daily health screenings, the wearing of face coverings including while on the bus, physical distancing, and proper hand and respiratory hygiene.  Each of us doing our part is essential to our ability to remain open for in-person learning.

Thank you.
