High School Students and Staff Celebrate Spirit Week

Although this has been a school year unlike any other, students’ school spirit is one thing that hasn’t changed!

During the week of March 29 through April 1, students and staff at Whitesboro High School celebrated Spirit Week. Students and class advisors took time out of their day on Sunday, March 28 to decorate the school so that the hallways would be ready on Monday morning. The freshman class was responsible for decorating the upstairs above the Pit, the sophomore class decorated the hallway outside the main office, the junior class decorated Warrior Hall, and the senior class decorated the Pit.

Monday’s theme was Color Wars, with students in Cohort A wearing purple, students in Cohort B wearing green, students in Cohort C wearing orange, and faculty and staff wearing pink. Tuesday was Decades Day, where students chose a decade to represent and dress like. Wednesday was Career Day, with students dressing like they would for the career that they hope to have. The week finished with Warrior Day, where students showed their school spirit with blue and white clothing.

Student Council Advisor Mr. Powers said he is especially proud of this year’s Student Council officers – Cami Witchley, Ria Phillips, Alexandra Celia and Bryce Collis – for their continued dedication to the students of Whitesboro High School.

A special “thank you” goes out to Mr. Kuhn, Mr. Cognetti and Mrs. Davis for their support and dedication to the student body, as well as each of the class advisors: Mrs. Gurdo (9th grade), Mrs. Mahay (10th grade), Mrs. Corr and Mrs. Williams (11th grade), and Mr. Coriale and Mrs. D’Accurzio (12th grade).
